Pocket TV was a music and entertainment series produced by JA Films for Sony Ericsson. The first series launched in 2009 and ran for 13 weeks on YouTube, where it has been watched millions of times. The show, presented by Matt Edmondson and Jameela Jamil, featured interviews with actors and musicians including Kesha, Marilyn Manson, David Guetta, N-Dubz, Skepta Jude Law, Forest Whitaker and Russell Brand.

The innovative series, shot in HD, was built around irreverent but warm content aimed at a youth audience. The bite size films were designed primarily for viewing online and via smartphones, hence the name. The show features interactive elements, such as viewers submitting ideas and applying to host segments.

“JA Films was the perfect partner,” explained Henry Scotland, managing director of project collaborator, Iris Experience. “They offered depth of experience with a low overheads model that enabled them to spend much more money on screen than some of their competitors. They brought together a great team in a very short space of time, and delivered a beautifully shot, well-crafted, funny and entertaining series.”
