Julie Jakobek is an award winning Producer and Executive Producer with over 15 years of experience working expertly at world-class level. After eight wonderful years as Executive Producer and Head of Multi-Camera Productions for ground-breaking production company Done and Dusted, Jakobek founded JA Films in 2009 as a ‘creative-first’ filmmaking boutique that specialises in bespoke long and short form films and music-based content with a particular strength in concert films, feature documentaries, TV specials and shortform content. Jakobek continues to lead the company in the creation of beautiful, technically advanced, and critically acclaimed films and productions.
Jakobek and her JA team have successfully worked with such high-profile artists as Adele, Coldplay, David Guetta, Kylie Minogue, The Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran, Mumford & Sons, Tinie Tempah, Emeli Sande and more. Jakobek has also previously worked with Madonna, Blur, Oasis, Gorillaz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Swedish House Mafia, Placebo, Depeche Mode, Amy Winehouse, and more.
Jakobek has recently worked with such record labels as Atlantic, Beggars Banquet, Capitol, Columbia, EMI, Parlophone, Sony, Universal, Warner Music, and XL.
She’s also worked with such high-profile brands as Adidas, Beats Audio, Hewlett Packard, HTC, Nokia, Playstation, and Sony Ericsson. And such networks as BBC, Channel 4, Five, MTV, and Sky.
Before founding JA Films, Jakobek also produced multiple access-led feature documentaries with high profile names including Eddie Irvine, Damon Hill, Prince Naseem and Lennox Lewis as well a current affairs feature “Convoy To Moldova” for the BBC which won multiple awards.
